The Rubber Spider is the flexible jaw insert (also called a spider or star element) used in Love Joy and Star-type jaw couplings. It sits between the two coupling hubs and transmits torque while absorbing vibration and accommodating minor shaft misalignment. Natural rubber spiders offer excellent flexibility and are ideal for general-purpose drives.
